I was "tagged" a while ago by a friend to list 10 random facts about myself. Have you seen those on blogs? I never got around to doing it then, but I always love reading what my friends choose to list about themselves because you get to find out these random things that make up them, and who doesn't enjoy learning new things about their friends? :)
So, here are a few random facts, but before I list them there are so many of you who have wonderful blogs that I love to read, so if you want to consider yourself tagged, you are!
1) I buy one new cup/mug a year and I love keeping my eye out throughout the year for THE ONE that will jump out at me. I had this idea like 6 years ago that it would be fun every time I made a cup of tea that instead of reaching for a mug that was "free from the bank or a college" I'd reach for one I love. This one is my favorite and I found it a couple years ago (it's well loved and has a little chip in it):
I never found one I loved enough to purchase this year, so I put "cute mug" on my Christmas list and got a couple I love from family!! They know me so well. Then just last night Josh and I went on a date and as we were sitting across from one another enjoying coffee and conversation there was this mug that was flirting with me from across the room! So before we left I bought it! It's so cute and red! It snuck in right before the end of '08. :) Ok, that was a really long random first fact. Sorry.
2) I eat a lot of pomegranates in December. I just love them and can't get enough of them sometimes.
*Update*
If you aren't a pomegranate eater, but have always wanted to try one, I blogged about how to eat them here: http://bethanyfphotography.blogspot.com/2009/10/this-that.html
3) I would love to learn to play the viola. I love it's sound, especially when it harmonizes with guitar.
4) I like reading decorating blogs. I would personally say my favorite decorating style is a mix between Potterybarn and Anthropologie.
5) I do my deepest thinking while blow drying my hair.
6) I draw Bob the Builder, a birthday cake, and a train with Jude almost every day these days, while Selah plays beside us. It's one of my favorite moments of the day.
7) I enjoy a challenging game of Sudoku and my favorite card game is spades.
8) I took 8 years of tap dance lessons when I was a kid. Shuffle step, shuffle, ball-change ball-change, brush hop step, shuffle step.
9) My life is a broadway musical from time to time (at home). I spontaneously will burst into song and change the lyrics to fit whatever is presently happening. It just comes out of me and I can't help it. I always wonder if our kids will inherit this "amazing gift" :) ha, ha.
10) Someday I'd love to have dwarf fruit trees (apple & pear), oh, and see New England in the fall.
11) Oh, and I'm a rule follower, for the most part. ;)

Ed & Diana Engagement Shoot
These two make the sweetest couple! They're up from CA visiting family and contacted me for their engagement shoot. I was so honored to be asked and had a great time with them today. I'll have more photos to share in the next day or two.

Christmas 08
We had a great Christmas this year with family. We spent a day at my mom's, then a day at my dad's and then Josh's parent's, and spent a couple hours at my grandma's.
My mom took this photo of my brothers and I on Christmas eve (with her point & shoot camera). :) I adore my brothers and have always thought the world of them. I look forward to every get-together with them & my sweet sister-in-law.
At my mom's we played this game called Would You Rather? Have you played it? It is such a fun game! Seven of us played and we laughed so hard. So hard!!! Josh had tears running down his face he was laughing so hard!
We had many special, memorable moments this Christmas. Our family really blessed us with meaningful gifts that we'll cherish.
Jude asked to make a birthday cake for Jesus this Christmas, so Gramma made a cake and let Jude decorate it. We sang happy birthday to Jesus and Jude got to blow out the candles. It was precious. Happy Birthday Jesus!

From the Country
Josh's parents live on a beautiful piece of property along the Alsea River. When we were out there for Thanksgiving I snapped some photos around their property. Here's a little piece of their country.
I'm on vacation until Jan 2nd... minus one photoshoot over the Christmas holiday... but I'm sure I'll have some family things to post from my break. On our list of "fun vacation things to do" we're going to declutter our house again! :) Something dorky that Josh and I really enjoy doing together. Maybe I'll post some photos of our project that we have planned. Our upstairs has this weird awkward space that has no function and I finally have thought up a function I'm so excited about! It may be worth a post later!

Restful Day
Josh and I woke up this morning to a white blanket of snow outside! Oooo, I love snow days. They slow down the pace of life.
All day long I've had that song from the LL Bean commercial in my head! "The snow is coming down in our New England town..." (Valley Winter Song by Fountains of Wayne - I googled it)
When Jude woke up we grabbed the camera to get his reaction of the snow. He said, "Oooh, snow. It's cold." And then asked to put on his shoes.
Once he had the chance to go play in it, though, it was quite another story. He didn't like it one bit. I think because it was still snowing and windy too, and he didn't like the feeling of snow in his face. So I didn't get any snow pictures of him. :(
But Selah was ok with the snow!
And in case you were wanting another angle on our little snow angel... :)
After a little snow time we got cozy inside. And we ALL got naps today! Yippie for naps!
Do they look alike or what? My cuties!!

Big Sister... almost
Sydney is such a beautiful child; I always think she has a face that could be in a storybook.
And she's going to be a big sister end of January! Whether she'll have a little brother or sister will be a surprise!! How fun!
Doesn't Marisa looks fabulous?!
And a fun little flashback...

What a little Charmer!
Isaac is growing up so quickly! You may remember him as the tiny newborn asleep on the blue antique scale (on my website). Doesn't he have the most gorgeous eyes?
Josh and I adore this family. They are dear friends of ours. Here are some shots I love.

Precious Faces
This is one of my new favorite photos! I knew I was going to love it the moment I shot it. :)
More photos from this fun session will be coming in the next couple days. Have a wonderful weekend!
Handsome Little Guy
I was so impressed with how this family braved the rain! We seriously shot in a downpour that showed up at shooting time and we used any covered location we could find. Jen has the most joyful smile I think I've ever seen - so contagious. And look at how cute their little boy is! He's beautiful.
We found this funny anger management wheel undercover where we were shooting. :)
