With this hot summer we've been having, the one crazy rainy day happened to fall on Meagan & Austin's wedding day! It changed some of our photography plans and settings that we had pre-arranged to shoot at, but I tell you what, Meagan was the most positive bride about it! At one point I even heard her saying those rain drops were blessings on her day, raining down. I loved her upbeat attitude and how she just rolled with it and it all worked out! The rain stopped by the time we were ready to shoot outside, and we stuck to the pavement instead of the grass. :)
You know it's going to be a great day when it starts like this!
Meagan is one of those people who clearly cares very deeply for those she loves. Every gift she gave to others throughout her wedding day was so personal and on point. She designed each of these unique shirts for her "soulmaids", as she referred to them.
Diane, Meagans mom, was so relaxed throughout this whole wedding process. I can see that she's set a beautiful model for these two women she & Mark have raised.
Her dad seeing her for the first time in her dress...
She had very thoughtful gifts for her parents as well.
This saying on the handkerchief was also said during her father's toast later on in the night, and was a saying he often said to Meagan and her sister as they grew up. I want to adopt these beautiful words.
And a photo of mom's beautiful infinity bracelet.
We got to do the first look and portraits at her extended family's incredible home. It was so beautiful and overlooked all of Portland with a majestic view of Mount Hood. Unfortunately the rain clouds blocked those gorgeous views, but the setting was still spectacular!
Meagan & Austin exchanged love notes after they saw one another...
Seriously, they look like models don't they? Even opening and reading cards! :) Gorgeous couple!
I'm not sure I've ever come across a more contagiously fun wedding party before! These guys were amazing!
A favorite!
Congratulations Meagan & Austin!! It was a joy to capture your day!
