Baby Harlen

It's hard not to get the baby bug when you photograph a newborn this beautiful. I'm just in the midst of editing sweet little Harlen's photos, so I'll share more when I'm finished.

The skies parted...

Driving to meet Jennifer and her beautiful family was an act of faith. :) It was pouring down rain. Not casually raining, not sprinkling, but really, really raining. I dialed her number twice thinking, "there's no way we're going to be able to shoot today", but never hit send. I happened to drive by our shooting location earlier that day and there was this patch of blue skies right above it. Really amazing considering there were dark nasty storm clouds on both ends of the property. When I arrived it was still that way! As if the skies had parted for our little shoot. :) It was wonderful!!

I had a great time with Jennifer, Elliot and adorable lil' miss Maddie. What a fun family and all so in love with each other! Here are some of my favorites.

Elijah: 9 months

Marisa and Drew purchased a "baby's first year" package this year and I've loved getting to see them every 3 months since little Elijah was born. I just adore this family. And Miss Sydney gives the best hugs! So, I have to say that editing these photos was quite bitter-sweet for me because it means that I won't get to see them every 3 months anymore! But I follow Marisa's blog, so that makes it all a little easier. :)

He's so cute.

Beautiful girl. I know I always say it, but Sydney is so "storybook" to me.
I love this one...

And in this last shot I feel like Elijah's saying, "Cheer up big sister. It will all be ok. We'll see Bethany again. You'll see." lol! :) Okay, I guess he wasn't saying that.

I love the connection between these two. It's very real and very sweet.
Blessings "C" family!

Rowen turns 3

Rowen is a special little guy and special to our family. He's Jude's best buddy and my very close friend Mauria's son. We just love their family. Rowen's little brother, Jonas, is only a couple days younger than Selah, and Selah thinks Jonas is the funniest person ever. Whenever they're together she loves to laugh at everything he does/says.

Jude and Selah came along as we photographed Rowen's 3 year photos and Jonas' 18 month photos. We went to the little street by my house that has all the fall leaves. The kids ran, and ran, and ran, and played while I snapped photos. When I was trying to get some shots of Rowen and Jonas together, Selah couldn't resist getting in those photos too. :) She'd then turn and say, "Cheese!" Hmmm... just a little programmed there, Selah. I have no idea how that happened. ;)

I love how boys play together. They love to explore, find wonder in the smallest things outdoors, and go on adventures. I'm thankful that Jude has such a sweet little friendship in his buddy Rowen.
Here are some shots of Rowen & Jonas. The boys.

I love this next photo.

Jillian & David

I am already excited for next year's wedding season! I kicked off engagement shoots this fall with an amazing couple. Jillian & David are best friends, high school sweethearts, and clearly love to laugh together. They went to separate colleges (Duck & Beaver), but I'm sure they cuddled in the stands at Civil War games. ;)
Jillian is as sweet as her smile and David knows just how to bring it out. All he has to do is be himself. I can't wait to photograph their wedding next September!

I loved how much Jillian and David laughed together. Here are some cute ones of him cracking her up.

Michelle: Class of 2010

Michelle is a sweet girl. She's bubbly and friendly and rocked her red Uggs! :) Here are a few from her senior session.

Sarah: Class of 2010

I'm behind in my blogging! I've been busy. I have a few more sessions to share with you, a few I'm editing, and just did another photo shoot today after getting home from spending the weekend at the beach with family. The season is shifting from high school senior sessions to family photo shoots for Christmas cards. It's a fun time of year. I sure enjoy all seasons of photography... babies in the spring, weddings in the summer, hs seniors in the fall, and families sprinkled all throughout the year with a bunch right before Christmas. :)

I want to do a swap with a photographer friend to get some photos of our family this year. In the past I've mostly put my camera on a tripod and it's not easy to get a kid to look at a camera when there's no one there dancing behind it. :) My entry way photos don't have Selah in them, so they desperately need updating!! Poor second child. lol.

I recently photographed Sarah and loved spending a little bit of time with her. I know her and her older sister, who I photographed her senior year too. Beautiful girls. Beautiful features. Very sweet spirits. Sarah is a hard worker and has already mapped out where she's going to college and what she'll be studying. Go Sarah!
