More from Hope & Troy's Wedding

Since I'm editing through Hope & Troy's wedding this week I thought I'd share a bit here and there as I go rather than a hundred pictures in one post, which I'd be tempted to do. :) Here are a few...

It was really hot and their programs doubled purposely as a fan!

I love these shots.

Quite the Entrance!

I saw this on another blog tonight and had to laugh. Wow, this wedding party knows how to have fun! :) My favorite part was when the Groom made his entrance.

Sophia

Sophia is too cute for words. I've had the privilege of photographing her since she was 6 months old, I believe. She has spunk, personality and her mom tells me that she loves her friends and loves giving out hugs.

The day we met for her shoot was one of our 90 degree days and Sophia had already been swimming that day, out in the hot sun and she had decided to skip her nap! We didn't meet for pictures until an hour or two before her bedtime. At one point she rested her head on a step where we were shooting and it was so cute. She did AMAZINGLY well for having to put up with my camera in her face after such a long day! What a trooper. And an adorable trooper! :)

I've only scratched the surface with her photos. I'm shooting a wedding this weekend, so I'll post many more of her and her family shots early next week. So many cute ones...!

Blueberries

We eat a lot of blueberries around here! This time of year I find myself buried in rows of blueberry bushes at a nearby farm, getting cozy with all sorts of tiny, creepy crawly creatures living amongst the berries. :) You could pretty much call blueberry picking a part time job for me one week out of the year, ha, ha. But it's also kind of therapeutic. I love it.

This year I picked 90 lbs. of blueberries, washed them and packed them into the freezer. The kids and I did it over the course of four mornings, and always with the wonderful company of friends. Some days were too hot and we didn't last very long, but the kids did great with me out there. They ran, picked, and hung out in the stroller eating their snacks. Do I have a single photo to show for it? No. :( Why you ask? Because I'm a die hard when it comes to picking blueberries. I get so single focused and I'm on such a mission to collect as many berries as possible before the kids are ready to leave that I get stuck in my zone. Do you guys remember that cheesy grocery store shopping game show back in the day called Supermarket Sweep where they would rush around loading their cart with groceries as fast as possible before the timer ran out? Well, that's about how I feel when I'm picking berries! Ha, ha. :)
Yeah, my back hurts, mainly from leaning over the kitchen sink washing for hours, but it's worth it! I love the whole process and Josh and kids love them! And they're one of my favorite snacks when they're frozen. Especially when they're in a little bowl mixed with chocolate chips. Oh Yum!

Elijah's 6 Month Shoot

I always look forward to photographing the "C" family and seeing their kids. Elijah is growing up so quickly! He's the sweetest little guy with the most beautiful blue eyes! He and his sister Sydney both have these amazing eyes!

Just starting to sit up by himself! I think he's quite proud of himself. :)

Some family shots... look at how these two are holding hands. How cute is that?!

And here Elijah is reaching for sister again... or pinching her. :)

Sydney is such a beautiful girl.

Off to see the world...

A Little *J* Family Photo Shoot

I enjoy scouting out new spots for photo shoots. A lot of times when I'm simply just out running errands a spot will catch my eye and I'll think, "Oooo, I've got to use that sometime." I'll keep it in mind, and then I'm extra inspired when I use it for the first time. Well, Jessica loves finding the perfect spots for her family shoots, and goes and scouts them out herself! I love it!! She comes up with some of the best ones. I've only been up to the Pittock Mansion a couple of times and it was several years ago, so it hadn't even come to mind to shoot at. We met there Tuesday evening and the lighting was beautiful and this family just shined. Be warned, I posted a gazillion photos! :)

We did some shots of just Matt & Jessica... what a cute couple!

Cute couples make cute kids... :)

There was a guest cottage that was quite charming...

Thanks for a fun evening, little man!
