Music Man
If there's one thing Jude really takes note of, it's music. (No pun intended) :) It's pretty hopeless though, because I'm like a Broadway musical everywhere I go...
If I'm wheeling Jude around a store and he hears the overhead music he'll often start dancing in his seat, or "snapping" (his version is this cute little wrist movement). He loves to shake his music shakers and blow on his recorder at home and dance. And today he loved playing (or pounding) the piano at Gramma's. You know, boy style. :) I think it's so neat that at this very young age music gets in you and moves you.
P.s. That's Buddy Bear next to him on the piano stool. You may recognize him from my last entry. This photo below is of Jude having some fun while on our recent trip to Odell Lake.

Salt Creek Falls
I'm by no means a landscape photographer, but I had to share a couple snapshots of Salt Creek Falls with you because it's so beautiful! Josh, Jude and I spent last weekend with friends and family at Odell Lake and on the drive home we stopped by this waterfall to soak in it's beauty and the beautiful landscape surrounding it! God's creation is incredible!!
I threw in one shot of the view from the house we got to stay at while at Odell (so pretty!) and one of my little family at the falls. Good times. :)

We spent a week...
...at Jr. High Camp at Lake Bradley in Bandon, OR, on the coast. (My husband is youth pastor, for those of you who are wondering why we were at Jr. High camp) :) It was an amazing and life changing week for our youth and we enjoyed some beautiful weather too.
Jude started walking this week, while at camp, and it's pretty cute to watch. Here's a photo of him and dad, hand in hand, walking back to our little cabin on the lake.

There's nothing quite like
quality goof-ball time with family!! It's so nice to unwind and be your silly self.
Josh, Jude and I got to spend time with my brothers and sister-in-law yesterday at my mom's ranch. When the sun was setting, it was casting a warm glow across the field and we went out there to take some pictures. It went down so quickly that we missed most of the nice lighting, but that's ok.
Now I'm going to grace you with some of our ridiculous portraits! :)

Beautiful Girl
Here are a bunch of shots from 19 month old Malia's photo shoot, taken at her home (& nearby park) on Monday. She was a busy girl, on the move, and smiling everywhere she went! What a special family.

In a mood :)
On random days when I don't have a photo session booked, I'll get in such a creative mood and be dying to snap some pictures that I'll think, "hmmm, who isn't doing anything today and would volunteer for a spontaneous photo shoot?" Well, tonight was "one of those days".
I didn't have any subjects handy (no offense to my husband who was weeding the backyard, but he didn't look picture ready, & our sweet baby boy was sawing logs...), so I had to point the lens at myself, which is something I rarely find myself doing. In fact, I had to laugh at myself because I felt like I needed direction on how to pose from... well, myself! :) In the end, rather than posing I just talked to Josh while he was weeding and I snapped away and it worked. I definitely like this first shot better.
