Pregnancy brain is a very mysterious thing to me. It seems to get worse with each pregnancy. And postpartum brain appears to be just as bad... will I ever get those cells back?
When I was pregnant with Selah I did a few silly, mindless things like drive with the e-brake on, or try to put 2 cd's in the cd player at one time (one on top of the other)... and Josh and I would have a good laugh about it, because
trust me, this is
not normal Bethany behavior! I'm a sharp person, I promise! (Or maybe I'm giving myself too much credit, lol) After things like that I'd reassure Josh that my brain would come back after Selah was born.... hmmm... well, I'm not sure how much he believes me after yesterday morning. As Josh was toweling off from a nice shower, I was thinking about my own shower - and happy that I would be getting one that wasn't too rushed or too late in the day (because it was our weekend) and he could keep an eye on the kids. :) Well, I walked over to get into the shower and as he was still
inside it drying off and I reached in and turned the water on. He was obviously in shock
as my hand was heading for the faucet handle because all he could mutter as it was happening was, "are you really?...." and then the rains came down. :) I think the choppy sleep is finally catching up with me!
