Every Day Life

So, in the evenings this week I've been working on our 2009 family album, and it's been really fun going through all of our "every day life" photos from last year. There are so many simple things that I never want to forget. Like Jude's favorite socks. Or these flips that Josh does with the kids. Or Selah's doll stroller that the kids take turns riding in (that I've had to repair several times). Or Jude's favorite Thomas books, the kid's love for destroying folded laundry, Selah's love for cleaning (thank you Grandma Janet!), digging in the backyard, berry picking, taking baths and the joy on the kid's faces when they get out and get wrapped up tight in a towel, and the kid's love for our cat, Noah. God's blessed Josh and me with these two precious people that we couldn't love more! I'm so thankful for every day moments. That's really where life is hidden.

p.s. This is my last collage for a while. I think I was just on a collage kick this past week! And it was fun. :)

Super cute! That's so great that you are taking the time to not only capture these moments, but then preserve them to look back on. I have high hopes of doing the same for the past few years... it's so hard to get on top of it once you've let the photos go! I think they secretly reproduce when you're not looking=)

Hi Bethany -
Love the pictures. You do such a good job of catching the moments.

Thanks for your comment on my blog a few weeks ago. I have to tell you this story, because in a way, you had a little part in our decision for Ethiopia. A long time ago, I watched the video for Drawn From The Water on your blog for the first time. It hit me right in the heart. I showed it to Adam, and just about every other person I could get to sit down and watch it. As I recall, that was one of the first times I started thinking, "hmmm...Ethiopia."

So, there you go. You never know how God is going to use something you post on your blog!

Thanks for the encouragement, and sorry for the super long comment. I love seeing your little updates of your family!

Bethany, I LOVE the collages! They have inspired me...not that I have time right now to do anything with the inspiration, but don't stop! I love them...they are a better/more complete look into a story that's being told.
