I have loved every wedding I've gotten to photograph this year and feel so blessed to be given the opportunity to capture such a special day in two people's lives! I'm already excited for 2011's wedding season. If you know anyone who is engaged or getting engaged this fall or winter, please pass my name along! I'd love to meet your friends and family.
I can't wait to share more of the beauty of this wedding with you. But for now... have a wonderful weekend! :)
Jillian, you are gorgeous! David, you married well! :)

Ben & Liya's Wedding Day, Part II
The second half of Ben & Liya's wedding day was held at the Columbia Edgewater Country Club. It was a beautiful setting.
Ben works in the wine business and I loved the little touches they put throughout their wedding that shared their love for good wine...
Their first look was a sweet moment followed by a gift exchange between the two of them. Then they shared their vows, that they wrote for each other, because they wanted to be able to hear each others' words fully and share them alone ahead of time. Very special.
Their ceremony was beautiful and full of laughter... just how I'd describe them!
Ben & Liya, what an amazing day to get to capture! May you be blessed in your adventures ahead! :)

Ben & Liya's Tea Ceremony
I wanted to share more about Ben & Liya's wedding, but thought I'd split it into two parts, since there are a lot of photos. :)
Ben & Liya's wedding day began with a Chinese Tea Ceremony held at Liya's family home and it was an amazing celebration. The house was bursting at the seams with family, close friends, beautiful cups of tea, and delicious food.
Ben arrived with his family bearing gifts and were joyously welcomed into the home. He made his way upstairs to where Liya was tucked away in a room, with her bridesmaids standing guard. Ben had to literally sing, dance and bribe his way into the room to be able to see his bride. :) It was so much fun to watch! After he was successfully united with Liya they went through a candle lighting and tea pouring ceremony with immediate family upstairs. Then they made their way downstairs to serve tea to all of their elders, one by one, and receive gifts. It was such a moving thing to watch them honor every one of their elders in this way! I just loved getting to witness it through my lens. After they served tea, everyone ate and enjoyed a relaxing lunch together.
I'll share the second half of their beautiful wedding day in my next post! :)

Paige: Lake Oswego High School Senior
I love hs senior sessions. It was great getting to meet Paige, and her mom and sisters, who joined us for her shoot. We got to use their family friend's property out in Aurora, which was really beautiful! Paige has such a pretty smile and was fun to photograph.
We took some photos of Paige with her sisters, before one sister had to leave for college. The three of them have a sweet friendship!

Katie: 2011 Lake Oswego Senior
Katie was cracking me up the whole time we were shooting. She has so much personality and would occasionally give me some of the best...er, "worst" hs senior poses ever on purpose... sometimes I was laughing so hard I couldn't even hold my camera still to shoot straight. So tempting to post some of those goof off shots. :) But of course these photos here all came easy for her because she's naturally beautiful.
Her sister Sarah came along on her shoot too, and let's just say it was like Katie squared. :) The two of them together... hilarious! I love their fun personalities!
Happy Senior Year, Katie!
