Sweet Little Guy

We had some crazy weather with this photo shoot, but you'd really never know it looking at these pictures! I traveled an hour and a half south to snap these photos of this handsome one year old, Noah, and had a wonderful time photographing him and his very sweet family! We got to use their grandparent's beautiful property as our setting! This is a small sneak peek of what I captured. I'll try to remember to share more later of some of their family shots and of his older sister with her pony, once I've finished editing those. :) The cute little rocker you'll see in some of these pics was Noah's dad's rocker when he was a little boy.

Logan's 1 Yr. Shoot

I recently photographed the adorable Mr. Logan, who will be celebrating his 1st birthday next week! What a big guy!
I did his photo shoot at his home and was so impressed with his mother's decorating. Their house made me think of the pictures we all love to look at in home decorating magazines. So I went ahead and posted some

shots of their house too, just for your viewing pleasure. :) I asked Carrie ahead of time if she would be ok with that and she didn't mind at all.
I don't normally post this many photos from one shoot, so you'll have to forgive me if it's overkill, but I had a tough time choosing which ones to "sneak peek".

Jude & Claire

My good friend Jana (from out of town) came to visit today with her daughter, Claire, and we had a great morning catching up on life and letting the kids play. Jude and Claire were "belly buddies" and even went on a Caribbean cruise together :) when Jana and I were 5 months pregnant with them... a couple years ago. She and her husband are long time friends of ours and we love to get together and play cards with them... which was the whole purpose of going on a cruise together... so that we could basically play cards for a week straight and have someone else cook and clean for us. :) ANYWAY, I just wanted to share 2 snapshots from our morning of cute little Claire. She and Jude will both be 2 next month, and Jana and I are both having our second babies next month too. We're somehow timing these pregnancies right on the money!

A Few of My Favorite Things... :)

I love this time of year because the sunshine lights up everything that's new! Like tulips coming up! And I love the water that puddles on tulip leaves. :) I think I photograph the raindrops on their leaves every year. So here is this years!
One of my other favorite things is to have fresh flowers on the dining table, which I rarely seem to have in the fall or winter because I never want to shell out the cash to pay for them. :) But I wish I would more because they really do make a home feel cheerful don't they?

Music and Photographs...

...paired with a cozy couch and a great cup of tea is one of those things in life that I love. But that really has nothing to do with this picture. :)
I did a photo shoot today for a h.s. senior guy who is an excellent bass player! He's really gifted. I love stringed instruments, so I asked him to play just a bit while I took some pictures and it blew me away. I couldn't resist photographing a few parts of the bass too because it's just such a beautiful instrument.
I'll post more photos from this shoot later this week... I'm still wrapping up my editing on a different session. :)

Beautiful Child

I got to take Sydney's 18 mo. pictures today and I have to say that I just LOVE this age!! It is so sweet to hear their tiny voices say such cute things.
Sydney played in the puddles and looked adorable in her rain gear. She has the most beautiful eyes that light up when mom offers her rice cakes. :) You may remember her sweet face from 6 months ago when I got to take her 1 yr. old photos.
