Motherhood...

Motherhood is a sweet adventure. I had no idea what was ahead of me when I was first pregnant with our Jude. I didn't know how incredible, wonderful and crazy it would all will be. You just can't fathom the amount of love you'll have for your child, or know how sweet those unforgettable moments of rocking your little one will be; smelling that perfect baby breath as they sleep on your chest. Ahhhh, bliss! You also can be blindsided when you encounter those days when you are sleep deprived, covered in spit up, your kitchen floors look like they haven't been mopped in a year, and it sounds impossible to face the grocery store, or any event outside of your house before noon. :) Haha! We've all been there, haven't we?! And I'm so glad to have other mothers in my life to enjoy this sweet journey with! Because we can laugh about the crazy days, but also relish in the sweetness of it all, together!

Mauria's friendship is such a blessing to me. She's expecting her 4th beautiful baby, 1 month from today, and I couldn't be more excited for her! She's always so cool and calm, taking everything-kid in stride. She's a pro. She and Craig decided not to find out the baby's gender so that it would be a true surprise for them on delivery day! (I will probably be living by my cell phone that day, waiting to hear if I was right in guessing that she's going to have a girl! We'll see! ;) )

On the Sandy River

I had the best time photographing Wendy & Trent's family out on the beautiful Sandy River! What a lovely place! Trent's mom has property out there and we got to use it for their session! I always love shooting in new places.

It was more overcast than we expected that day and it even tried to rain on us, so we worked quickly to pack in as much as we could.

These sweet girls are so easy to photograph, and Wendy always dresses them in the cutest outfits! I love how all of their personalities shine through here...

Kenny & Kimberly - Cannon Beach

We had the most fabulous 4th of July with our dear friends Kim & Ken, out at Cannon Beach! They live in Chico, California, but were here vacationing with family, and asked to set up a photo shoot out at the beach. Josh and I jumped on the chance to see them, and go stay out at Surf Sand. And the 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays, so that was just icing on the cake!

Set a camera on a log and set the timer...

That night was so beautiful. There were campfires sprinkled across the beach and fireworks off in the distance. 

We got set up with a fire of our own, and enjoyed some yummy treats, the sound of the waves, the pretty lights, and great conversations until late into the night. I'm so glad to have these memories! And so blessed by these friendships.

Carly & Tyler's Wedding: The Allison Inn, June 24th

It's a joy to get to know and photograph couples like Carly & Tyler. Two solid people, who have such beautiful hearts, strong faith, and are so in love and made for one another.

When we met for coffee last winter to talk about their wedding I could see their unity, total joy in each another, and sweet friendship. I could also tell that they both were hard workers, with a strong work ethic. They're going through dental school together (how cool is that?!) and I know they will have a lot of fun working their profession as a team in the future.

Carly has incredible style, and great attention to detail. Every part of their wedding day was fantastically thought through and planned well! (And I loved working with their talented wedding coordinator, Annmarie, with Blush Bridal). Their day was a true celebration of this amazing couple, surrounded by hundreds of family and friends, on a gorgeous Oregon summer day.

Carly is such a bubbly, joyful person, it almost feels weird posting serious shots of her, but clearly, she can pull off anything. She's gorgeous!

This wedding party was such a FUN group and so easy to be around!
Carly's mom did so much to help Carly with this beautiful wedding. You can tell she's an incredible woman, and that she and Carly have a special relationship. I love that!
Tyler's family is a tight knit group, and have a deep love for one another. I love this shot of their group hugging on Tyler. So sweet! And I just have to give props to Tyler's parents for raising so many fantastic men! And a beautiful daughter. They've done their job well!

After the ceremony Tyler & Carly got to have some alone time. Then we snuck in a few more photos while the guests were enjoying the cocktail hour and live music.













Carly's details were so personalized and blew me away. Her cake matched her dress, her colors were carried through in every space, and the feel and style was so consistent.















The grounds were beautiful at night...
Carly & Tyler were sent away with flying paper airplanes!
