Katie & Zach's Wedding Day

Zach & Katie have such a connection. They met in college after Zach had run into an old friend and she invited him over to hang out and watch a movie with her and her roommate, Katie. Katie had no idea she'd be meeting the guy she was going to marry that night; she was her cute self, in her sweats, ready for a movie and time with friends. Later that night her roommate casually said to Zach, "Katie's so cute" and with lit eyes and a smile Zach replied, "Yeah, she is!" And there was the spark. :)

They're best friends and you can see how sweetly they support one another in everything! They have wonderful family, and so many friends.

I loved how perfectly Katie tied everything together in style and color for their wedding day. Even down to her shoes! She's a beautiful bride.

Privately seeing one another for the first time...

Then we drove downtown for a few city shots...

...then back to the Kennedy School for a few portraits before the ceremony. Isn't this setting gorgeous?! It was very romantic. Later on, during the reception, guests mingled out here with a glass of wine, while music and dancing went on inside.

This is one of my favorite shots with the Kennedy School Mural. They are an amazing couple.

I love these of Katie & Zach...

Congratulations you two! Thank you for allowing Josh and me to capture your amazing day!

Tonight

Tonight I got to photograph this beautiful family and I just loved them. These kids won my heart over in about 5 seconds! Jeff & Bethany are so blessed.
I can't wait to share their session with you, but in the meantime, please go to Bethany's blog and read about the orphans they are supporting in Ethiopia right now and how you can help!!

Callie turns ONE!

I love working with this family! You may remember them from a post back in April. Little Callie is now one and has the cutest little personality! I just love her smile.

Isn't she adorable?

And aren't they a beautiful family? Wendy puts together the best outfits!

These sisters have a great dynamic; all peas in a pod. And all beautiful!

It's fun to play

Josh brought home a new concept from work called PPA, pleasure planned activity, and the idea is to plan one thing a week that's fun and one bigger thing a month that's fun, so you have an activity to look forward to. It's been so great having little things to get excited about. Last Tuesday we decided that Friday afternoon/evening we'd either drive to the beach for just a couple hours to play or we'd go to a fair. The weather looked iffy, so we chose the fair and had a wonderful time! I haven't been to a fair in years. The kids loved the animals, we shared a treat or two, we danced to music, we looked at the agricultural exhibit, went in a tepee... it was great. The one ride Jude tried he cried on and they stopped it to let him off. I felt so bad for him. Selah on the other hand begged to go on every ride. She wasn't tall enough to ride, though. :)

Here are some snap shots.
Jude enjoying the roosters and chickens...

Selah loving the cows. (Cow is one of my favorite words she says... speaking of, this girl has one crazy vocabulary already! It blows me away. She's piecing two words together now, like, "Up Mama" to get into her highchair and "nite-nite daddy", and she says a few 3 syllable words. That's probably normal for a girl, though, huh?)

Can I go, please?

My favorite picture from the night. Sharing a bag of cotton candy.

...which Selah did not like having stuck to her fingers, but Jude loved every bite he was given.

So much excitement. I felt as happy as Jude (in these pics below) just watching our children last night. :) What joy they bring!

Matt & Lacey's Wedding Day

Ok, I'm posting a ton of pictures... I just couldn't help it. Matt & Lacey are so adorable. So enjoy! :)

It was a hot day, and a perfect warm evening. I just loved Matt & Lacey's wedding!

When we first arrived and turned onto the long driveway leading up to the wedding site, the roadside was sprinkled with pictures of Matt & Lacey from their childhood. And a little story was told as you read each sign up the road. Boy dreams of girl... boy meets girl... they fall in love... Totally adorable way to start a wedding!

Isn't Lacey absolutely gorgeous?!

We did their "first look" moment out in the field. I loved how rustic it was and how lovely Lacey's dress was in the long grass.

We walked over to the barn and Matt & Lacey rocked it there. :) Again, so beautiful these two.

I love this next shot...

A kiss for the father of the bride.

Their wedding ceremony had a great view, surrounded by trees and greenery, and a pool, which looked way too inviting. :) It was a beautiful setting.

The guys were just hilarious. The wedding party was so much fun. They danced the night away under a big white tent. One guest even danced a good portion of MJ's Thriller Dance!

Matt & Lacey rode to their gettaway car on an appropriate golf cart, through a firework line up of friends and family.

Such a memorable wedding day! Thank you for allowing me & Josh to be a part of it!
